We’ll hike among towering sandstone pillars that jut straight out of the ground. We’ll squeeze through a labyrinth of narrow slot canyons to view desert landscapes that seem to belong on a different planet. We’ll bask in the sun while eating our trail lunch with panoramic views. Along the trail keep your eyes peeled for hidden caves, lizards, pre-historic fossils, and your desert glamour shot. On the way back to our Explorer Chick House, we’ll make a stop at one of the best preserved petroglyph sites in Utah. Hundreds of petroglyphs puzzle historians as they attempt to decipher stories from centuries ago. We’ll descend over 1,500 feet in 2.7 miles to the canyon plateau below where we’ll be greeted by the best lunch spot in the park. Chances are, we’ll be the only ones around. A challenging hike back to the canyon rim will take us up the switchbacks along the cliffside working those calves and earning our dinner! After a triumphant finish, we’ll hop back in our van and stop at the best vista viewpoints that the park has to offer. Sweaty, dirty, glamour shots are the best proof of a day well-spent! The itinerary is incredibly thought out! I love that all I had to do was show up!!! Thank you!I wanted to do this trip for physical and mental challenge and mission was accomplished. We had a great group of strong ladies that made the trip above and beyond!I HIGHLY RECOMMEND explorer chicks!!!Thank you for a memorable trip!!!!Let's do this!!!!This was my second experience:I rebooked with EC because I had a fabulous time going to the smokies with EC. For my second experience with EC I chose the 4 day Moab trip. I was very fortunate to have Lauren and Savannah as my guides, they are extremely experienced in all the elements, give practical directions on how to be efficient during hiking and are just plain cool women. They empowered us all, adjusted to people's needs/ wants and gently let our group know that we could do it! Again the itinerary is incredibly thought out and I love not having to think about ANY plan, it is delightful and big change from my day-to-day. Thank you Lauren, Savannah and our sweet group!Highly recommend !Christine H.Just spent 4 days in Moab ringing in the New Year! What an incredible experience. The guides were amazing, knowledgeable, generous and fun. The group was great - felt comfortable right away and enjoyed our dynamic. This was my second EC adventure and both times were so well done. A true quality experience. Loved the beauty, the food, and the challenge.Barbara W.This was my first Explorer Chick trip and it exceeded all of my expectations. We went on the 4 day hiking trip in Moab with our fantastic guides, Mary and Christina. Everything was thoughtfully arranged and organized, right down to the morning coffee. They took tremendous care of us, and we wanted for nothing. The selection of hikes was perfect, just strenuous enough to make you feel challenged and invigorated, but not too much to wear you down. I loved this trip and cannot say enough wonderful things about Explorer Chick! They are the BEST!!!MicheleFor my first Explorer Chick adventure, I went to Moab in September with Jeannie P & Keziah P, & I had the best time! I don’t have much free time or extra money, but I’m so glad I signed up for this trip. I honestly can’t write anything that does it justice. If you're thinking about a trip, just go!!! You will not be disappointed.Jeannie & Keziah created a relaxed, fun, adventurous, & welcoming group environment. The atmosphere couldn’t have been better!! They helped us step out of our comfort zones & be our best selves. I really hope to go on more of their trips. I put short trips together myself & I know how much work it is. But they made it seem effortless. Not only were the big things safe, organized, & smooth, but there were tons of surprising touches like girls night face masks, hidden hike treats, & lemon washclothes to cool down after a long hot hike. I would give these 2 guides 10 stars out of 5 if I could.I’m a vegetarian (& I think I was the only one), so food is usually a challenge on group trips. Jeannie was so kind & thoughtful! The food was healthy & kept us hiking, but also really tasty & varied, with plenty of vegetarian options. She even brought dried cherries from her home!Keziah was such a patient & skilled driver in that huge van. She made all the driving look easy.Moab was gorgeous, & the mix of activities & experiences was perfect for me. We learned a lot about the habitats & geological history. The condos were super comfortable & clean, with a nice balance of privacy & shared spaces for hanging out.The community made this trip extra special too. I met amazing women & we quickly gelled. We were all storytellers, comedians, cheerleaders, adventurers, sisters. This trip became so much more than hiking & sightseeing!Deep appreciation to Explorer Chick, Jeannie, Keziah, & all my travel buddies. This trip exceeded every expectation & became one of my favorite travel experiences.(Explorer Chick booking & communications are also awesome. Great experience with you folks! Photos by Keziah.)Darcy G.Just returned from an amazing experience on the 4 days Moab multi sport Explorer Chicks trip! Our guide, Katie, was solo and did a fabulous job for each and every one of us. I loved doing the various activities, especially repelling four times, complete with a fantastic female canyoneering guide named Ellie! Robby was great leading us through Dead Horse Canyon in the UTV’s - definitely the banks bumps and ledges were the best there. Katie lead us through several hikes in national parks, complete with a grand charcuterie board at Delicate Arch. Breakfasts, lunches and snacks were all well crafted by Katie too! So much food, no decisions to make, no driving or reservations to handle. Just plain adventure based fun with a great group of new friends. If you are on the fence about joining one of these trips, just DO IT! You will not regret it!Angie G.This was my first trip with Explorer Chick. It was beyond wonderful to show up without planning anything and have four amazing days in the Moab desert. Every detail was well thought out from the hikes, to accommodations, to meals. Although I booked this trip with friends, I would totally do a future trip alone knowing I would share the experience with fun, open, and adventurous women. Thank you! I only wish I was still on the mountains.Dara D.I had an amazing experience on my first Explorer Chick adventure, 4 days of hiking in Arches and Canyonlands NPs with Moab as our home base. The trip exceeded my expectations. Everything was so well organized and smoothly handled by our two fabulous guides, Jeannie and Keziah. They took care of every detail so we could just soak up every moment, on and off the trails. They spoiled us with surprises, cooked delicious and plentiful meals, and kept communication clear and easy the whole time. Honestly, I don’t know how the trip could’ve been any better. Jeannie and Keziah were the heart and soul of it all, not only making every activity that much more fun and memorable, but also helping a group of mostly strangers quickly feel like old friends.Mary C.My trip to Moab was stellar! Accommodations, activities and food were all excellent. I saw the beautiful landscape as advertised, but I actually received something even better- the bond of new friendships. Our guides Mary and Stephanie facilitated the whole trip like the pros they are. I can hardly wait for my next outing with Explorer Chicks!💕Missy S.I've been home a little over a week from the Moab and Arches National Parks Hiking Weekend, and I can't stop thinking about it! Our guides, Christina and Kayla, were amazing, and took great care of us. I'm a little (A LOT) scared of heights, and they literally held my hand at times. I ended the trip feeling accomplished and exhausted, in the best way, and made memories that will last for the rest of my life. I saw parts of the parks that I would have never seen on my own. If you're on the fence about signing up for an Explorer Chick trip, let this be your sign to hop off that fence and sign up now!Dulcey R.Amazing, amazing, amazing! Our trip leaders (AKA "Trail Moms") Kirstie and Christina, went above and beyond. Arches and Canyonlands were stunning backdrops for great, scenic hikes in the company of incredible women from around the country. It was better than I could have hoped for and I'm SO glad Kirstie and Christina were our phenomenal guides (the meals, surprises, prepped for anything at all times, and their mixture of calm and joy made it all just THAT much better). I'd 100% go again. Book with Confidence Your wanderlust doesn’t have to wait. Our payment plans make booking your dream trip easier than ever. The best part? Zero additional fees.
