My first Explorer Chick (EC) trip did not disappoint. Having been to Iceland before, hiking to far off sites allowed for new experiences. Our EC guide Mary did an exceptional job wrangling us, keeping everyone happy, engaged, and always had "snacks on the bus." Weather in Iceland is tricky this time of year, but it didn't stop the fun and excitement, Mary did alot of work behind the scenes, coordinating alternate plans as needed. The laughs, talks, and camaraderie with fellow chicks was a bonus! I will definitely check out other trips with EC!

Had a FABULOUS first trip with Explorer Chick in the Smoky Mountains in late Oct/early Nov. I'm new to hiking and was nervous about my ability to handle mountain trails and about my limited knowledge of camping/glamping. EC took care of everything, and I had an amazing experience! The pre-trip guidance was helpful because I didn't know where to start in terms of packing or preparing. Once we were on-site, our guides, Christina & Savannah, were the BEST!! Knowledgeable, supportive, energetic and great fun to be with. They handled every detail of the trip with great poise and expertise, and instilled confidence and built camaraderie in our rambunctious group of women! The hikes were spectacular (the fall foliage was a wonderful bonus), the pottery class was a blast, and learning about the history and ecology of the Smoky Mountains along the way was rewarding. Food was delicious and nourishing (TY Christina & Savannah!!) and the accommodations were clean & comfortable. Best of all, that rambunctious group of smart, funny, supportive and adventurous women are now friends. Looking forward to my next adventure with Explorer Chick!!

I used Explorer Chick for the first time in October for a hiking trip to Jordan. Everything was handled very professionally from the initial contact to book the trip to the end of the trip. Our guides were extremely knowledgable, fun and organized. The front office is very organized, as well. I am using Explorer Chick again for Red Rock hiking next year.

This was my first Explorer Chick trip and it exceeded all of my expectations. We went on the 4 day hiking trip in Moab with our fantastic guides, Mary and Christina. Everything was thoughtfully arranged and organized, right down to the morning coffee. They took tremendous care of us, and we wanted for nothing. The selection of hikes was perfect, just strenuous enough to make you feel challenged and invigorated, but not too much to wear you down. I loved this trip and cannot say enough wonderful things about Explorer Chick! They are the BEST!!!

For my first Explorer Chick adventure, I went to Moab in September with Jeannie P & Keziah P, & I had the best time! I don’t have much free time or extra money, but I’m so glad I signed up for this trip. I honestly can’t write anything that does it justice. If you're thinking about a trip, just go!!! You will not be disappointed.

Jeannie & Keziah created a relaxed, fun, adventurous, & welcoming group environment. The atmosphere couldn’t have been better!! They helped us step out of our comfort zones & be our best selves. I really hope to go on more of their trips. I put short trips together myself & I know how much work it is. But they made it seem effortless. Not only were the big things safe, organized, & smooth, but there were tons of surprising touches like girls night face masks, hidden hike treats, & lemon washclothes to cool down after a long hot hike. I would give these 2 guides 10 stars out of 5 if I could.

I’m a vegetarian (& I think I was the only one), so food is usually a challenge on group trips. Jeannie was so kind & thoughtful! The food was healthy & kept us hiking, but also really tasty & varied, with plenty of vegetarian options. She even brought dried cherries from her home!

Keziah was such a patient & skilled driver in that huge van. She made all the driving look easy.

Moab was gorgeous, & the mix of activities & experiences was perfect for me. We learned a lot about the habitats & geological history.

The condos were super comfortable & clean, with a nice balance of privacy & shared spaces for hanging out.

The community made this trip extra special too. I met amazing women & we quickly gelled. We were all storytellers, comedians, cheerleaders, adventurers, sisters. This trip became so much more than hiking & sightseeing!

Deep appreciation to Explorer Chick, Jeannie, Keziah, & all my travel buddies. This trip exceeded every expectation & became one of my favorite travel experiences.

Explorer Chicks Zion & Bryce glamping, hiking and canyoneering trip is wonderful for anyone looking for a worry free fun adventure in the beauty of Zion & Bryce National Parks! Kayla and Ashley took care of every detail, while constantly teaching us new skills and sharing information about the wildlife, plants and topography of Zion & Bryce. They were our expert guides, chauffeurs, photographers, cheerleaders, friends and "moms" along the way; taking into consideration all of our individual requests, fears, and quirks; without ever making us feel like a bother. They created an encouraging, fun atmosphere that let this group of 9 women help one another through the adventures and build lasting friendships, as we experienced one of the most beautiful places in the world! Highly recommend this trip.

Just returned home from the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu adventure. From start to finish, this trip was absolutely incredible. It was the kind of experience you dream about but rarely expect to live — and it far exceeded my expectations in every way.

Our guide, Mary Morton, was phenomenal — knowledgeable, passionate, and truly dedicated to making sure every single person on the trip had an amazing time. You can tell Mary genuinely loves being a guide, and that energy made all the difference!

This vacation is so much more than hiking the Inca Trail. It is also learning about the culture, trying out unique experiences, soaking in the scenery and of course hiking through stunning landscapes.

And the food? Excellent. We were treated to a variety of local dishes that were not only delicious but also gave us a real taste of the region’s culinary traditions.

I can't recommend Explorer Chick enough, it was truly the trip of a lifetime, and I’m already looking forward to planning my next adventure with them! If you're hesitant about taking the leap—don’t be. This was my very first guided trip, and I have absolutely zero regrets and memories to last a lifetime!

Fall 2025 EPIC Trip to South Africa!!!! I saw SHARK CAGE DIVING on the itinerary and booked it immediately. I got SO. MUCH. MORE from this trip - Penguins swam UNDER MY KAYAK!! Hiking, kayaking, SAFARI, biking, wine tasting, CULTURE!! The people of South Africa are friendly and welcoming. Our EC Guide Christina is professional, experienced, and so wonderful - the local guides were an absolute joy, especially Brittany. We got to walk and talk with the Black Mambas, the only female anti-poaching conservation unit in the world (and those women are badass). We had morning and night game drives in Kruger National Park, sat under a tree while a LEOPARD took a bath, walked by wart hogs rolling in the mud outside our cabin, ate SO MUCH amazing food. TAKE THIS TRIP, you won't regret it. This was my third trip with EC and I will be taking more.

Fall 2024 Norwegian Fjords with EC Guide Kirstie and local Guide Oda - the breathtaking beauty of this landscape can be overstated. I would move here in a heartbeat if my friends and family would come. Northern Lights, HIKING HIKING HIKING and then sauna with cold plunge in the arctic waters!! Memories from this trip will last a lifetime.

Fall 2023 Still glowing from a truly awesome trip to Zion & Bryce. Guides Mary & Christina were truly amazing - knowledgeable, kind, thoughtful and really seemed to anticipate our needs before we knew we had any. It was so fun meeting so many wonderful and adventurous women and I look forward to more trips through EC with my new friends!! It was honestly a life changing experience and I recommend it for everyone!!

Had a great trip to Shenendoah National Park with Explorer Chicks. Led by Ashley and Kara, we had a great 3 days of hiking. A camll group of 8 women was perfect for this trip. Everything was taken care of while on the trip (food, snacks, room, driving). They knew the best places to go, the trail routes, and were able to accommodate all abilities in the group.

I would give 10 stars if I could! I just returned from the 4-day Zion & Bryce hiking trip and it was the most amazing experience! The hiking and scenery were beautiful, but what really made this trip special was our amazing guides Hannah and Kayla, and the friendships we made along the way. Our glamping tents were comfortable, the food was great and the activities were well-planned for us. They took care of everything for us so that we could enjoy our time. I can't wait to return for another adventure with Explorer Chick!!
